RED V-Raptor RF lens support!
I was looking for a reliable RED V-Raptor RF lens support. And it took me quite a while to find a fitting lens support for my IRIX Cine Primes. Finally I have found a solution which is the Nitze N04B. A small lens support which fits onto your 15mm rails and can be adjusted according to your lenses.
To stabilize your lens with the RF Mount of the Raptor prevents you from damaging the mount itself. Even if RED has fixed their lens mount issues, as communicated via mail, I will still support the lens whenever possible.
Especially shooting with heavy lenses like the Canon CN20 or SIGMA 120-300mm f2.8. Its mandatory to support your RF mount in all ways possible. While filming in the bush and driving on rough roads, your rig can experience quite some friction forces. Especially when you need to drive with the camera mounted on the film door.
